The deshed process at Tailored Tails is a multistep regimen designed specifically to remove dead undercoat and reduce shedding after the groom. It leaves your dogs coat healthy and shiny. We do NOT use Furminator products as they can damage the hair follicles and actually increase the amount of shedding. We use combs and metal brushes and a LOT of extra time to make sure that all of the dead undercoat that is ready to come out actually comes out. This process can take anywhere from 4-6 hours depending on the breed and size of the dog and the amount of time since the last grooming.

Oral health is a veterinary recommended step in every dogs life. We use an enzymatic toothpaste and toothbrush made for dogs; then follow it up with a mint flavored breath spray that continues to break down plaque on your dog’s teeth. Your dog can even take home their toothbrush if you ask for it.

Keeping your pet and our salon parasite free is a top priority. We use an all natural parasite shampoo and follow it up with a deep conditioning skin treatment.
